Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about how we work, what we charge, and what you can expect as a client.

Working with E-Wealth Partners

Is E-Wealth Partners a fiduciary?

Yes. E-Wealth Partners is an investment adviser registered with the SEC, and we act as a fiduciary, which means we are required to put your interests ahead of our own in the advice we give.

Who does E-Wealth Partners work with?

We work with business owners, entrepreneurs, executives, and families, most of them in Minnesota. Clients usually come to us when their financial life has grown complex enough that tax, estate, business, and investment decisions all affect one another.

Where is E-Wealth Partners located?

Our office is at 12301 Whitewater Drive, Suite 40, Minnetonka, MN 55343. We meet clients in person and by video, and we serve families across Minnesota and beyond.

How do I get started?

Start with a short introductory call. We talk through your situation, what you want your money to do, and whether we are the right fit. There is no cost and no obligation for that first conversation.

Services and process

What services does E-Wealth Partners provide?

Financial planning, investment management, retirement and Social Security planning, tax-aware planning, estate and legacy planning, business exit planning, and insurance review. The planning and the investments are coordinated rather than handled separately.

What does the planning process look like?

It runs in four steps. A discovery conversation, a consultation where we review your full picture, a written plan with clear recommendations, and then ongoing action and review on a set calendar.

Do you work with my CPA and attorney?

Yes. Coordinating with your CPA and attorney is a core part of what we do, so tax moves get planned while they can still be made and your estate documents stay consistent with your plan.

Do you help business owners plan an exit?

Yes. We hold the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®) designation and help owners build transferable value, align business and personal goals, and prepare for a sale or transition well before it happens.

Fees and accounts

How is E-Wealth Partners paid?

We are paid by our clients, most often through an advisory fee based on the assets we manage, and in some cases through a planning fee. We disclose fees in writing before you engage us, and details appear in our Form ADV and Form CRS.

Is there an account minimum?

We do not turn away a good fit over a number. The right question is whether ongoing planning and investment management make sense for your situation, which we can answer in one conversation.

Where are my assets held?

Client assets are held at an independent third-party custodian in accounts titled in your name. We never take custody of your money, and you can see your accounts at any time.

Can you manage my 401(k) or old retirement accounts?

We review employer plans as part of your whole picture and advise on how they should be invested. Old accounts from prior employers can often be consolidated so the money is managed alongside the rest of your plan.
